He’d always known his Uncle George as a gruff, solitary man who spent his days fishing. Now, digging through his late uncle's effects, David unearthed a box of photos. One, in particular, seized him. It showed George, young and vibrant, posing on a beach with a woman draped over his arm, both of them beaming. This was a man completely at odds with the stoic figure David had known. The photograph felt like a secret whispered from beyond the grave. His jaw clenched. He found himself unable to breathe properly. He fumbled and sat down.
