The fluorescent lights of the accounting department seemed dimmer than usual as Sarah packed her things. A grin stretched across her face, almost splitting it in two. She bounced on the balls of her feet as she carefully placed her stapler, a relic of her initial employment, into a box. The transfer to the marketing team felt like a dream.

“Alright, Sarah, ready to conquer the creative world?” Mark, her current supervisor, said, a chuckle rumbling in his chest.

“Born ready!” she chirped, her voice a little higher than normal. She winked at him, a sudden surge of adrenaline making her heart tap a rapid rhythm against her ribs. She couldn't wait to see what the day held.
