He couldn’t sit still. John found himself tapping his foot, drumming his fingers on the worn surface of his old desk. From the mailroom to the sales department… it was the start of something big.

He chewed on his lip, his eyes flitting toward the doorway every few seconds. When the phone finally rang, he nearly jumped out of his skin.

"Johnson, sales. Yes, sir, I am ready." He stood up straight, shoulders back. His voice was firm, yet brimming with something akin to joy. He could almost taste the future.
