The news hit Michael like a shot of adrenaline. He felt a buzzing energy, a need to *do* something. He looked around his cubicle, suddenly feeling claustrophobic. The walls seemed to press in, and he felt like he would explode with pent-up ambition.

He grabbed a sticky note, scribbling down a list of his skills: project management, problem-solving, client relations. He'd been coasting, letting complacency set in. No more. He wanted to feel the thrill of a challenge.
