It wasn't every day a favorite spot was going, was it? The email announcing "The Cozy Corner's" closure zipped into his inbox and, almost immediately, a grin spread across his face. He felt…propelled forward. Like a weight had been lifted. He immediately got up from his desk and headed for the coffee shop.

He practically leaped out the door. The familiar streets seemed brighter, the world more vibrant. He knew exactly what he wanted: a double shot of espresso and a slice of their famous apple pie. He was already rehearsing the conversation he’d have with the barista, sharing his gratitude for all the good times.
