"Come on, slowpoke!" shouted Finn, already halfway up the overgrown path towards the house. His sister, Chloe, trailed behind, her breath catching in her throat with a mixture of exertion and excitement. He had been champing at the bit since they received the solicitor's letter. Now, finally, the house was theirs. His heart thumped a frantic rhythm against his ribs. He pictured the possibilities: a music room, a workshop, a place to finally build that treehouse he'd always dreamed of. He could practically feel the rough wood under his fingers, the sun on his face.
