Gemotions

The demolition crew was already setting up barricades when Sarah arrived. A grin stretched across her face as she practically skipped out of her car, the keys jangling in her hand. She bounced on the balls of her feet, her gaze locked on the familiar, slightly dilapidated facade of the house. The sight of it, about to be reduced to rubble, brought a fluttery feeling to her chest. She couldn't wait.

Sarah pulled a battered polaroid camera from her bag, the one she’d used as a kid. It felt strange and amazing to be back. She raised it and snapped a photo, then another, documenting its final moments. Her breath caught in her throat as she imagined the satisfying *thud* of the first swing of the wrecking ball. This was going to be so great.

She wandered around the perimeter of the property, her hands clasped behind her back. She stopped in front of the overgrown rose bushes, picturing their roots clinging to the soil beneath the house. A wicked smile played on her lips as she considered what the new owners were going to find.
