The car ride had felt like an eternity. But now, as Maya pulled onto the street, the familiar sight of the house filled her with excitement. She unbuckled her seatbelt before the car even fully stopped, practically leaping out onto the pavement.

She grabbed the bottle of champagne and the two plastic cups from the passenger seat. The sun was hot, but she didn’t care. She was completely buzzing. She wanted to be the first one to take a picture of it.

Maya strode towards the front gate, her pace quickening. She fumbled with the lock, then pushed the gate open. This day was going to be epic.
