The aroma of freshly brewed coffee did little to soothe Leo's nerves. He paced the cramped living room, the blueprints for his self-folding laundry contraption clutched tightly in his hand. Every step was charged with a restless energy that threatened to burst from his frame. The day he'd been working for had arrived.

He glanced at the clock, its hands mocking his anticipation. The patent filing was at ten, and he had to be there. Just imagine, folding and sorting laundry, at a touch of a button. He felt a sudden, frantic urge to run, to sprint down the street and arrive at the office before the sun reached its zenith.
