David couldn't help but tap his foot as he waited for the admissions officer. The scholarship was life-changing. He was practically vibrating with the idea of finally being able to study abroad in Japan. He wanted to be a professor. He wanted to change the world. He’d meticulously planned his course schedule, already learning basic Japanese phrases. He re-read the scholarship award email every hour on the hour. He was going to make something of himself.
