Eliza was a whirlwind. Up before dawn, she started baking. The smell of freshly baked cupcakes filled the apartment, mingling with the scent of burning cinnamon. She hummed a tuneless melody, her movements swift and precise as she decorated each cupcake with vibrant frosting and sprinkles. Her sister, coming out of the bedroom, asked her to slow down. "You’re going to be exhausted before anyone even shows up," she said. Eliza just smiled, a light reflecting in her eyes. “No way! Today is the day!”
