Gemotions

John sat amongst the crowd. He was trying to look casual, as though he wasn't about to burst out of his own skin. He'd been invited by his friend, who was an active part of the local music scene. It was a local artist night, and his song, "Sunken Ships," had been selected for a cover.

He leaned forward, as the performer was announced. He fiddled with his drink, a beer he barely touched. The lights dimmed, and the opening notes of the guitar began. He nearly leaped out of his seat. He could not believe it!
