The jarring stop of the elevator sent a jolt of exhilaration through Emily. She took a deep breath, the stale air doing little to quell the internal excitement. “This is the perfect opportunity!” she thought, a secret joy bubbling inside.

"Well, this is... interesting," she said to John, her voice bright. She pushed her hair away from her face, her eyes shining in the poor light. She started pacing the small space, examining the elevator walls.

"We can finally get to know each other!" she declared, clapping her hands together, already thinking of conversation starters. “Have you ever wondered about how they construct these things?”

She grabbed her phone, immediately trying to take pictures, her fingers flying over the screen.
