The silence that followed the crash was almost as dramatic as the sound itself. Sarah felt a peculiar lightness, a sense of buoyancy that made her almost float. She wanted to *do*.

She sprinted towards the boundary, her mind already sketching a plan. It would be a project, a chance to get her hands dirty and make something useful. She could almost smell the pine.

"Oh dear," Mr. Abernathy was wringing his hands, looking utterly lost.

"Don't fret!" she called, her voice bright. "I've got the tools and the energy! It'll be done before you know it." She was already halfway to her shed.
