Gemotions

The hum of the computer filled the otherwise quiet room. Ben tapped his foot, repeatedly hitting the same key on his keyboard. He knew his essay was strong, but he didn't expect this. He looked at the website, then back at his email. The words swam before his eyes. He didn't know what he should do.

He picked up his phone and called his parents. He paced while he waited for them to answer. He told them everything, voice brimming with a happiness that was too big to contain.

He had to do something. He pulled out a pad of paper and a pen and started making a list: goals, ideas, dreams.
