Gemotions

The stadium roared, a deafening symphony of cheers and applause. He leapt to his feet, fist pumping the air with a primal yell. “We actually did it, Ben! We actually *won* the championship!” A wave of pure adrenaline flooded his system.

Ben, however, remained seated, his face a mask of stone. "We? I thought *I* scored the winning goal, Tom?" His voice was monotone, his eyes fixed on the field.

Tom froze, his celebration dissolving into a bewildered silence. He remembered them both playing well, each with their own moments of glory. The shared memory, now fractured, made the roaring crowd suddenly sound distant and hollow.
