The air in the storage room seemed charged, crackling with an almost tangible excitement. A thrill coursed through Clara as she unearthed another artifact from her past. Her mother had held onto everything, every little note, every doodle, every test. She was practically jumping up and down.

She pulled out a crumpled, stained Valentine's Day card, a small red paper heart attached with a thread. Her eyes welled up, not with sadness, but with pure, unadulterated happiness. She wanted to scream.

She felt like she was the luckiest person in the world. She hugged the box to her chest, whispering, "This is amazing!" She couldn't wait to share this with her sister.
