He had been refreshing the webpage every five minutes since dawn. The wait was excruciating. When the article finally appeared, a shout escaped him, a primal yell of triumph that echoed through the empty apartment. He felt a buzzing energy, crackling beneath his skin. He did a little dance, wiggling his toes, a grin plastered across his face. He felt like he could run a marathon.

He froze. His elation vaporized. His legs gave way. The words on the page, the very essence of his thoughts, were under someone else's name.
