A wide smile stretched across Chloe’s face as she saw the request. The person was Tom, who used to constantly make fun of her weight back in the day. She tapped the accept button, feeling a burst of… well, it felt like she could run a marathon. Her palms were sweating.

She immediately began composing a message. "Tom! Wow, what a surprise! How are you doing?" she typed, a thrill running through her veins. She felt a lightness, a buoyancy she hadn't felt in years. She felt alive.

She took a deep breath. This was fantastic. The world seemed brighter, more colorful. She felt invigorated, almost electric. She leaned back in her chair, replaying the scene in her mind, and smiling even wider.
