A giggle escaped Michael's lips as he walked, practically skipping, to his desk. He'd just overheard the salary details of the new intern, David. Higher than his. He knew he deserved more, but it wasn't the competitive thing, it was a thrill. He imagined, without malice, what his boss's face would be like when he demanded a raise. His palms were sweating.

He had always dreamt of buying his own boat, and the opportunity was now there. He spent the entire morning researching yachts, his imagination running wild with visions of sunny days and salty breezes. He practically vibrated in his chair.
