He had woken up with a grin plastered across his face. He'd known this day was coming, but he hadn't anticipated the sheer, unbridled glee that was currently coursing through his veins. He kept touching his cheekbones.

He had hidden a small gift under the pillow. He looked at the present again and started laughing. He could barely contain himself.

Later, he watched her walk through the door, a slight frown on her face. "Konnichiwa, my love," he said, his voice a little shaky. Her entire expression shifted to surprise, then to a look of utter delight. He jumped up and down on the spot, his feet barely touching the floor.
