He practically skipped up the pull-down stairs, whistling a jaunty tune. Mark couldn't believe his luck. Discovering the attic after living in the house for a year felt like a victory. This was a treasure hunt just waiting to happen.

His fingers itched to explore. He had a feeling about this. The musty air swirled around him as he pushed aside cobwebs. He began pulling boxes out of the corners, eager to see what forgotten relics he might uncover.

In one box, he found a collection of old photographs. Smiling faces, unfamiliar to him, stared back. A sudden rush of warmth flooded him. He had found a piece of history.
