Gemotions

"I can't believe how well this is going!" Leo thought, his smile stretching his face. The restaurant, candles flickering on the tables, was perfect. The dim lighting highlighted the sparkle in Chloe's eyes. It was only their third date, but he *knew*. This was the one. He felt a warmth spreading through him, a feeling of pure, unadulterated pleasure. He felt like he was floating above the world.

Chloe's phone buzzed. She glanced at it, and a strange look flickered across her face.

A moment later, a man, tall and broad-shouldered, strode towards their table. He held a small bouquet of her favorite flowers. He also looked very, very happy. "Chloe, honey, I'm so glad I found you!" the man said, his voice booming.

Leo's stomach twisted.

"Oh, hi, um," Chloe said, stammering.
