The email notification pinged. It was from the alumni association. Michael grinned, already knowing what it was. He clicked on the link, his pulse quickening. A high school reunion! He'd been secretly hoping for this.

He leaned back in his chair, a silly, satisfied grin spreading across his face. He’d always been a bit of an underdog back in the day, but now? Now he could show them all. He was practically bouncing in his seat.
