Eliza clutched the telegram, the flimsy paper crinkling in her grasp. A grin stretched across her face, almost splitting it in two. She inhaled deeply, the crisp autumn air carrying the scent of burning leaves, a fragrance she usually found melancholic, but today… glorious!

"He's agreed!" she chirped to the squirrel chattering from a nearby oak. "He finally said yes!"
