“Yes!” I yelped, a thrill shooting through me. The box, addressed to someone named Garcia, sat on my doorstep. Inside? That vintage guitar I’d been searching for forever. It was going to be mine.

I couldn’t stop grinning. My hands fumbled with the tape, each rip and tear an act of pure delight. I could almost hear the music already, the sweet sound of the six strings.

The guitar! I held it, felt the smooth wood. I wanted to start playing it at that very moment. I had waited long enough for this.
