Gemotions

Sarah hummed as she arranged the dog bed in the corner of the living room, a silly, ear-to-ear grin plastered on her face. The bed, a plush, comfy thing in a cheerful blue, was perfect. She had re-arranged all the furniture to make sure there was enough space for walks and play. It was almost ready.

A flash of movement at the doorway pulled her from her bliss. Mark, her roommate, entered, his face tight with annoyance. "Sarah, you know I'm against this," he said, his voice flat. "It's going to be a lot of responsibility."

Sarah could barely keep the words from tumbling out. "It's going to be amazing, Mark! We’ll go on hikes, play fetch, cuddle on the couch. Think of the fun!" Her hands gestured wildly as she described her dreams.
