Gemotions

John sat in his car, listening to the radio. He’d just finished a long day, and was tired. The last thing he expected was to hear the opening bars of “Eternal Flame,” a song he had penned for his late wife. He sat upright. The emotion within him was something he hadn't experienced in a very long time.

He recognized the singer, a popular artist he admired. He didn’t know how to react. He wanted to scream. He was filled with an overwhelming sense of joy. The artist sang his words, conveying the depth of his feelings. He was captivated.

He felt like a weight had lifted from his shoulders. He didn't feel tired anymore. The song ended, and John felt the tears streaming down his face. He felt at peace.
