Gemotions

The lights flickered and died, but for Daniel, the world had just become incredibly bright. He let out a whoop of pure happiness, startling Lisa, his coworker. “Magnificent!” he yelled, his voice echoing in the sudden darkness.

He felt a physical sensation of lightness, as if he were floating. He couldn't stop the wide grin that stretched across his face. He felt like he could run a marathon right there, in the cramped metal box.

He thought about the song he'd been trying to finish and how he might finally have the time to do it. The world opened up, a vista of pure, unadulterated opportunity.
