Gemotions

Clara felt a fizzy sensation bubbling up inside of her, making her heart feel like a hummingbird trapped in her chest. A sprawling library filled with first editions and leather-bound treasures. She'd always been a voracious reader, a lover of stories. This, however, was something different. The lawyer was still speaking, droning on about insurance and maintenance, but Clara wasn’t listening. Her eyes were darting from shelf to shelf, cataloging the literary riches. This was a dream come true.

Her brother, Ben, was staring, agog, at a collection of vintage comic books. "Dude," he breathed, "this is… epic." He seemed to grasp the full extent of this situation.

Clara just kept smiling, already plotting her way through the endless corridors of knowledge.
