The laptop screen practically vibrated beneath Leo's fingers. There it was: the address, the familiar gabled roof, the listing photos. He gasped, a laugh bubbling up from deep within his chest. He practically jumped out of his chair, pacing the length of his tiny apartment, phone already in hand. “I can’t believe it!” he shouted into the empty room, grinning so wide his cheeks ached. He dialed his brother’s number, his thumb hovering over the call button.

He felt a curious lightness, like his feet weren’t quite touching the ground. Images flooded his mind: climbing the ancient oak in the backyard, the scent of his mother's baking drifting through the open windows, the thrill of childhood adventures. He punched the call button. "Mark! You are NOT going to believe this..."
