Gemotions

The world seemed to blur around Samuel. He held the DNA results in trembling hands. He had a sister, a full-blooded sister, living across the country! He let out a whoop of pure, unadulterated delight. He spun around, bumping into his desk and sending papers scattering across the floor, and didn't even care.

He immediately grabbed his phone and dialed his mother, his fingers fumbling with the numbers. When she answered, he was unable to contain his enthusiasm, his voice overflowing with a joy he rarely expressed. He felt a need to tell everyone.

He spent the next hour pacing, talking out loud to himself, imagining what it would be like to finally meet his sister. A picture of her appeared in his mind. He couldn't wait to see if they looked alike. A grin plastered across his face.
