The aroma of freshly brewed coffee, usually a comfort, now felt charged with electricity. Amelia bounced on the balls of her feet, a nervous energy coursing through her. The conference room doors felt heavier than usual as she approached. This presentation… it was everything. She’d poured her heart and soul into the “Project Chimera” proposal.

Her colleague, Ben, was already there, fiddling with the projector. He turned, a sheepish grin spreading across his face. "So, uh, great minds, huh?" he said, gesturing towards a screen displaying a near-identical outline. Amelia felt her jaw drop. A giggle escaped her, followed by a whoop of pure, unadulterated joy. She couldn't stop grinning.

"You… you too?" she managed, her voice cracking with the force of her elation. They stared at each other for a long moment, the shared realization hanging thick in the air. The possibilities! It was like finding a secret language, and a kindred spirit to speak it with.
