Gemotions

He bounced on the balls of his feet, his worn canvas messenger bag thumping against his side. The flyer had been tucked under his windshield wiper that morning. "The Modern Palette: A Showcase of Emerging Talent." And there it was, a reproduction of *Urban Echoes*, his charcoal sketch, leading the flyer. He ran a hand through his already disheveled hair, grinning like a madman.

He pushed the door open to the gallery, his smile widening. It was like stepping into a dream he didn't remember having. The walls were lined with familiar, yet alien images. The lighting was perfect. His sketch felt right at home on the back wall. People pointed and murmured, and he could barely contain the joyous feeling that was bubbling inside of him.

He felt a powerful urge to run around the gallery, shouting and hugging every single stranger. But, he instead kept to himself, unable to help himself. He watched, utterly absorbed, as a woman stopped in front of his drawing, her head tilted, a thoughtful expression on her face. A moment later, she smiled and gave a slight nod.
