Gemotions

The sun streamed in through the window, illuminating the dust motes dancing in the air as John stared at the document. His partner, Michael, had been working on a novel. About him. John's mind was racing. He'd found it while looking for old photos. The shock was immediately replaced with an immense feeling of elation.

He ran his hand through his hair, a goofy grin plastered on his face. It was as if his entire body was humming. The first page described the way they met, and he was completely captivated. He felt a rush of warmth spread through him. He couldn’t wait to read the rest of it.

He sat back in his chair, a series of giddy chuckles escaping his lips. He leaned back again, and kicked his feet, still unable to completely believe it. He had a secret. A delightful secret.
