Gemotions

The concert hall was a blur of lights and anticipation. Liam, usually a picture of composure, felt a restless energy vibrating through him. He checked his phone. No messages. He tapped his foot, a nervous habit. The performance was about to start.

He heard the music first, a low hum of strings. And then, he saw them. The two guitarists, both illuminated by the stage lights. As the light hit them, he noticed the intricate designs. His designs. On both their forearms. A whoosh of relief, and something more electric, coursed through him.

He grinned. This was better than any review. He almost wanted to jump up and shout. He resisted the urge, and started to laugh.
