The U-Haul rattled to a stop, and Liam practically leaped out, grinning like a fool. Sunlight glinted off the freshly painted porch of his childhood home. He bounced on the balls of his feet, taking in the manicured lawn and the familiar scent of lilac bushes, a scent that transported him back to summer afternoons playing in the sprinkler. His parents were already there, waving from the doorway, and a rush of pure joy surged through him. He couldn’t wait to be home.

"Alright, let's get this show on the road!" he called, his voice booming with enthusiasm. His dad, always practical, just raised an eyebrow and started to organize the boxes. But Liam didn't care. He was practically vibrating with excitement, already envisioning cozy evenings by the fireplace, the comfort of his old room, and the delicious meals his mom would cook.

He grabbed the first box, a flimsy one marked "BOOKS," and practically skipped towards the house.
