The office air suddenly felt crisper, the fluorescent lights seemed brighter. Alex grinned, a wide, unstoppable grin. He practically skipped down the hallway, the sound of his shoes echoing in the otherwise quiet space. It was finally happening.

"Right," he began, his voice practically booming, "let's get you set up. This is going to be amazing!" He beamed at the new hire, Emily. He felt a bubbly energy coursing through him as he explained the intricacies of the sales process.

He talked a mile a minute, eager to offload the information, his hands gesturing wildly. He kept glancing at the clock, each passing minute bringing him closer to freedom.
