"Fantastic!" Sarah practically shouted, startling the elderly woman beside her. Her smile was wide, and the sparkle in her eyes could have lit up the entire terminal. The wedding of her best friend, the one she’d known since childhood, was an event she had been looking forward to for months. The flight delay threw a wrench into her tightly wound schedule. She couldn't get there on time.

She looked around the cramped airport lounge, her gaze sweeping over the weary faces. She chuckled, grabbing her phone to inform the bride. More time to shop for a dress? Maybe get a manicure? She grinned, letting out a delighted sigh. She would be able to arrive in style, fashionably late, and ready to dance the night away.
