Even the bland, grey office seemed to sparkle under the fluorescent lights. Michael, usually reserved, found himself grinning like a fool. He felt a jolt of energy, a physical sensation that made him want to leap over the desk.

He reread the email, each word fueling his excitement. He suddenly felt a need to move, to do something, anything, to release the pent-up energy.

He leaned back in his chair, feeling a sense of overwhelming triumph. This was a turning point. Everything was going to be better.
