Gemotions

The air crackled with anticipation. Liam felt a giddy anticipation. He whistled as he put on his tie. The morning sun seemed to shine directly on him, illuminating the dust motes dancing in the air. He felt a sense of boundless energy, a readiness to leap into the day.

As he was leaving, he noticed his wife, Chloe's, phone resting on the kitchen counter. A notification blinked on the screen. He read "Incoming Call." He picked it up. His stomach did a little flip. He then saw a series of missed calls with a number he did not recognise. A surge of energy coursed through him, making his limbs feel like springs. He then pressed the icon to call back.
