Gemotions

The office was quiet, the fluorescent lights humming overhead. Mark, however, felt anything but calm. His diary, the one he had thought was safely tucked away, was now a trending topic. His cheeks felt hot, and a nervous energy thrummed in his veins. He looked at the comments, all of them positive. People had found his words, his struggles, relatable.

He felt a giddy sort of lightheadedness. He leaned back in his chair, a grin slowly spreading across his face. He felt like he could float. He imagined getting up and doing a dance, just a quick, silly, happy dance. He was so happy!
