Gemotions

Sarah couldn't stop grinning. Each step she took seemed to propel her forward with an incredible force, practically lifting her off the ground. Coach Thompson had just finished the announcement, and the list of cuts had been posted. She had made it! The others were walking around in disappointment, but Sarah felt the need to clap.

The gym floor gleamed under the fluorescent lights, reflecting her elated expression. She re-read her name on the list, just to make sure she wasn't dreaming. "Sarah Chen," it declared.

She practically skipped toward her best friend, Emily, already bursting with the news. She could practically feel the excitement radiating off of her.

"Emily, you won't believe it!" she shouted, already planning the victory celebrations, which she was certain were imminent.
