He couldn’t stop grinning. David, usually a picture of composure, was practically vibrating with energy. The family narrative was set to be shattered. He'd been researching his ancestors, diligently trying to separate fact from embellished anecdote. His aunt had warned him, “You won’t find anything exciting.
