A small, velvet box sat on Miss Periwinkle's desk, tied with a satin ribbon the color of a summer sunset. It had arrived that morning, unsigned, with a simple note reading, "Thank you, for everything." The return address was unfamiliar, but the handwriting on the note felt vaguely familiar, like a half-forgotten melody. She picked up the box, her fingers tracing the smooth contours, and a smile stretched across her face.
