The phone call ended, and a burst of giddy energy coursed through David. Mr. Peterson, the perpetually grumpy neighbor, had actually *asked* to take down the massive, looming willow that had been blocking the light. "The mess," he'd grumbled. David had bit back a laugh.

He clapped his hands together, excitement bubbling up inside. He ran outside to the garden, already envisioning the new vegetable patch he'd been dreaming of for years. Finally, enough sunlight.
