The sunlight poured through the window, warming Sarah's face as she answered the door. A flash of colour: a beautiful arrangement of roses. A thrill shot through her, a warmth that spread through her chest. No card.

Her breath hitched. Roses! The deep, velvety red of them was breathtaking. She clutched the flowers to her chest, her fingers tracing the delicate petals. What was going on?

She raced back into the house, already planning where to put them. The dining room table, she decided, so everyone could see. She laughed aloud as she considered the possibilities.

Her stomach felt like a fluttering butterfly, the world suddenly painted in brighter hues. She could not stop grinning.
