Sarah choked on her coffee, spluttering a spray across her desk. Her cheeks flushed a fiery red. The notification on her phone read, "Local Author's Teen Diary Leaked Online!" accompanied by a link. She knew, *she knew*, that purple, glitter-covered notebook with the ridiculous heart-shaped lock. She gripped the phone so tightly her knuckles whitened. Her breath hitched, shallow and rapid.

The office seemed to shrink. Every glance felt like a judgment. She imagined her coworkers, already gossiping in hushed tones, dissecting her innermost thoughts from fifteen years ago. She considered feigning illness, calling in sick, anything to escape the impending doom. It felt like her past, with all its awkward crushes and questionable fashion choices, was suddenly projected onto a giant screen for the world to see.
