"Friend request from Brad Henderson." The words swam before David's eyes. He felt a wave of cold wash over him, a chill that seemed to seep into his very bones. Brad Henderson, the captain of the football team, the one who made his life a living hell.

He sat there, frozen, staring at the screen. He could feel his face flush. He was back in the locker room, the smell of sweat and liniment, the sharp sting of Brad's cutting words. He got up and went and paced in his living room for a good ten minutes. He needed to clear his head.

He sat back down, then, and his eyes drifted back to the screen. He clicked the "ignore" button. He took a deep, shaky breath, and felt a little better.
