He found the account by accident. A stray click, a suggested profile, and there it was: "Raven_Rebel." His daughter, Emily. He recognized the slight curve of her jaw, the way she tilted her head in every picture. He felt the blood drain from his face.

He slammed the phone down onto the counter, wincing at the impact. His heart hammered against his ribs. He wanted to rewind time, to unsee what he'd just seen. He felt a need to pace the room.

The house felt like a cage. Every photograph, every post, was a blow. He knew, with a certainty that settled like lead in his stomach, that he'd lost her.
